About Me

Picture
I'm passionate about supporting people who want to transform unnecessary suffering into an experience of greater aliveness and wholeness.

If you’re looking for a professional, sensitive, and clear presence who can help you thrive in relationships, explore the mysteries of your being, and unfold your hidden potential and aliveness, you’ve come to the right place.

My formal training includes a Master of Divinity degree from Naropa University—a full time, three-year intensive training in Buddhist psychology and practice, interfaith chaplaincy, communication, and spiritual counseling. I am also trained and certified in the Hakomi Method of Psychotherapy.

I’ve worked in the human services field for over a decade, including mentoring teens in the foster care system; providing spiritual support to people at the end of life as a hospice chaplain and volunteer manager; and as a psychotherapist in private practice.

My approach to therapy is collaborative and creative--rooted in building a relationship where you feel connected, understood, and accepted for who you are. I focus on working with individuals (especially men) and couples who want to heal and learn new ways of being in order to have more thriving relationships.

In addition to my formal training, I draw on and am inspired by nearly two decades of yoga and mediation practice, and the ongoing discoveries of fully engaged living as a husband, a father, and lover and student of the wild, more-than-human world.

What lights me up about my work as a psychotherapist is experiencing how a relationship can be a sacred space where two human beings meet around what matters most in life, and that both my clients and myself can grow meaningfully, and for the better, through that encounter.

Beyond my psychotherapy practice, I am also a carpenter, and enjoy being with my family, slowing down in nature, and dancing.
