About Zubin![]() I'm passionate about supporting people who want to transform unnecessary suffering into an embodied experience of wholeness, and meaningful connections to soul, to other people, and all of life.
If you’re looking for a professional, sensitive, and clear presence who can help you thrive in relationships, heal past wounding, and unfold your potential and aliveness, you’ve come to the right place. My formal training includes a Master of Divinity degree from Naropa University—a full time, three-year intensive training in Buddhist psychology and practice, interfaith chaplaincy, communication, and spiritual counseling. I am also trained and certified in the Hakomi Method of Psychotherapy. I’ve worked professionally with a range and depth of human experience for over two decades, including mentoring teens in the foster care system; providing spiritual support to people at the end of life as a hospice chaplain and volunteer manager; coaching college students, and as a psychotherapist in private practice. My approach to therapy is collaborative and creative--rooted in building a relationship where you feel connected, understood, and accepted for who you are. I focus on working with individuals (especially men) and couples who want to heal and learn new ways of being in order to have more thriving relationships. In addition to my formal training, I draw on and am inspired by a lifelong yoga and mediation practice, and the ongoing discoveries of engaged living as a husband, father, and lover of the natural world. What lights me up about my work as a psychotherapist is experiencing how a relationship can be a sacred space where two human beings meet around what matters most in life, and that both my clients and myself can grow meaningfully, and for the better, through that encounter. Some of what I most enjoy in life are moments of playful or deep connection with family and friends, studying and practicing teachings from wisdom traditions like Buddhism and contemporary psychology, playing pick up soccer, and slowing down in nature.
